About the app

What is Runner's Logbook?

Runner's Logbook is a running app for iPhone and Android by Haro LLC. It combines GPS run tracking, a running logbook, adaptive training plans and optional Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android) integration.

Who is it for?

It is for runners who want to record their runs, build consistency or train toward a race with a plan that responds to the training they actually do. There is no social feed or leaderboard.

Availability & downloads

Do I need a watch or fitness tracker?

No watch is required. You can record a run using your phone. If a watch, ring or other tracker writes supported data to Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, Runner's Logbook can read the data you approve there.

Training & tracking

What can I track?

Record runs with GPS, see live running stats and a route map, and review saved runs in your logbook. Auto-pause helps handle stops during a run.

How do the training plans adapt?

Start with your goal and availability. The app uses your completed runs, effort, recovery and check-ins to adjust training and explain what changed. You can use a plan for race preparation or more consistent running.

How do Apple Health and Health Connect work with the app?

On iPhone, with your permission, Runner's Logbook can read supported workouts and health signals from Apple Health, including heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, sleep, VO₂ max and body mass, and with your permission it saves runs you record to Apple Health as workouts. On Android, with your permission, it can read workouts, weight, resting heart rate, HRV, sleep and VO₂ max from Health Connect; imported readings stay on the phone, and runs you record are written back to Health Connect as workouts. These can support training and recovery guidance. Both are optional, and you can change or revoke permissions in iOS Settings or Android's Health Connect settings.

What are its limitations?

Guidance depends on the runs, check-ins and approved health data available. Some signals need enough data before they can be shown. A tracker must share supported data with Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android for the app to read it.

Runner's Logbook provides training information. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent medical conditions, and it does not guarantee a race result. If you have pain, an injury or a health concern, consult a qualified professional.

Access, privacy & support

Do I need an account?

You can record runs and keep basic history without an account. Sign in for full training access and account backup. You can change Storage & Backup in Settings.

Is Runner's Logbook free?

Workout recording, basic history and deletion remain available without payment, and so does export on iPhone; the Android app does not yet offer export. Every account gets full access free through November 30, 2026, Eastern Time. Premium plans begin at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on December 1, 2026.

No subscription or charge starts automatically. Any available subscription shows its price and terms in the app, and Apple (on iPhone) or Google Play (on Android) charges only after you choose and confirm it. Paid subscriptions renew until canceled in your Apple account settings or your Google Play subscriptions. Read the terms of use for details.

How is my data handled?

Active recording and the first saved copy of your training stay on your phone. On iPhone, when you sign in, Storage & Backup defaults on and can sync supported records, including simplified route maps and health-derived training records, to Haro LLC's cloud service. You can turn it off in Settings. On Android, Storage & Backup is download only: the phone downloads the logbook on your account, and runs recorded on the phone are not uploaded to your Haro LLC account.

Pseudonymous first-party usage sharing is on by default and can be turned off in Settings > Privacy & Data. The app has no ads or cross-app tracking. Read the privacy policy for backup, analytics, service providers and data deletion details.
